Historicals
Wednesday, January 25th, 2012
Attica is now accepting submissions for historical fiction – for updated guidelines, see our submissions page.
We’re looking for authors who can bring the past to life with the charm and grace of Patrick O’Brian, or recapture for adults the delight and fascination with history expressed so well in childrens’ books by the likes of Rosemary Sutcliff (and so completely absent in the recent film The Eagle). And, if sticking to the exact frames of history is not your thing, we very much welcome alternate history, or fantasy with strong historical elements in the mould of Naomi Novik’s Temeraire or the works of Guy Gavriel Kay.
